Triodos and Fondaction Launched a €300M Natural Capital Fund

Triodos Investment Management and Fondaction Asset Management have introduced 'Value Nature Fund I,' a closed-end fund aiming for €300 million in natural capital investments in farms and forests across Europe, Canada and the US. As a founding investor, Fondaction has committed $25 million.
The two firms bring distinct yet complementary regional expertise, spanning both North American environmental markets and European sustainable food systems. The fund targets measurable outcomes in three areas: biodiversity, climate resilience and community well-being. The fund's structure is designed to qualify under EU Article 9 sustainable finance regulations.
As investors continue to factor in sustainability in their investment decisions, this fund demonstrates that pairing patient capital with regenerative land oversight can deliver both financial returns and measurable ecological recovery.
