Context Labs has initiated a collaborative endeavor named the Open Decarbonization Project, which establishes a publicly accessible repository for standardized procedures aimed at measuring greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative is supported by a consortium of energy corporations, technology firms, and environmental groups.
The novel Open Decarbonization Project seeks to address current inconsistencies in emissions reporting by providing a common, scientifically-grounded framework that any organization can adopt and contribute to. The project's foundation is an open-source methodology, contributed by Context Labs, which integrates data from various advanced monitoring technologies to quantify emissions with a higher degree of accuracy than many commonly used estimation models.
