Maui Brewing Company teamed up with none other than outdoor apparel company Patagonia to brew a delicious new organic pilsner that makes use of Regenerative Organic Certified Kernza, a perennial grain that is increasingly prized due to its ability to boost organic matter in the soil, increase water-retention capacity of soil and reduce the reliance on tilling activity.

This deliciously organic pilsner also makes use of organic Pilsner and Vienna malts, not to mention a pair of organic hopes of the Wakatu and Talus varieties. The end result is a beer that is decidedly and accessibly light-bodied, coming in with 40 IBUs and an ABV of 4.6 percent.

"By incorporating Kernza Malt into our beer, we are promoting sustainable farming practices and contributing to the development of a more resilient and ecologically sound food system," pointed out Kim Brisson Lutz, VP of Operations over at Maui Brewing.
