Potato Startup Financial Backings

Zurich-based foodtech startup PeelPack is tackling plastic waste in food packaging by turning potato peel waste into biodegradable, compostable containers. Using biopolymers made from upcycled potato peel waste, the company has developed punnets that offer the strength and durability of traditional plastic, without the long-term environmental impact. The company is now being backed financially by Venture Kick.

Overall, PeelPack’s solution is designed to meet the practical needs of food producers and retailers, maintaining stability and performance while supporting end-of-life composting.
