Recycled Resin Cups

PureCycle Technologies has partnered with Churchill Container and environmental group 4ocean to reduce plastic waste at the College Football Playoff National Championship on January 19, 2026. The goal is to tackle the large number of single-use plastic cups typically used at major sporting events.

For the championship, drink cups will be made from PureCycle’s recycled plastic, which is created by breaking down everyday plastic waste collected from curbside recycling and turning it into clean, food-safe plastic that can be reused. This process helps give new life to plastics that usually end up in landfills.

By using these recycled cups at such a high-profile event, the partners are showing that recycled plastics can work just as well as new materials while helping reduce waste.
