Kellanova and ADM Promote Regenerative Farming Techniques
Kalin Ned — September 18, 2025Kellanova and ADM recently announced the completion of their collaborative agricultural initiative — a two-year program focused on promoting regenerative farming techniques across 120,000 acres of cotton farmland in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
The project involved direct engagement with over 180 farms. It incentivized the adoption of practices designed to enhance environmental sustainability. Key methodologies that Kellanova and ADM encouraged included the planting of cover crops to prevent soil erosion and the implementation of reduced tillage to maintain soil integrity, alongside the efficient management of fertilizers and fuel. According to the program's data, these regenerative farming techniques yielded significant environmental benefits during the 2024 crop year, including an estimated reduction of 16,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions and the sequestration of approximately 42,000 metric tons of carbon within the soil.
