Cosmetic Recycling Initiatives

rom&nd has introduced the Green Chemi Project, a sustainability initiative focused on recovering and recycling used packaging for color cosmetics. The program was developed with TerraCycle to address the challenges associated with recycling small cosmetic containers and products that often contain residual formula.

The initiative accepts empty packaging from rom&nd and its color care line Nuse, including items that are expired, discolored, or otherwise no longer usable. Consumers can return eligible items in person at the rom&nd Pink Office in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, or submit them through the brand’s online submission system. To encourage engagement, participants receive incentives, such as complimentary full-size cosmetic products, after donating. The final use-cases for these materials will be determined through customer voting.
