Science-Based Net-Zero Commitments

Dassault Systèmes announced a new SBTi-validated net-zero target, committing to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. The company's near-term goals include reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 65% by 2035, relative to a 2024 baseline, and cutting Scope 3 emissions, including use of sold products, by 66.33% per euro of value added within the same timeframe.

The commitment follows the company's early achievement of its first science-based targets, including a 35% reduction in operational emissions and a 20% reduction in business travel emissions by 2025. Dassault Systèmes supported this progress through ISO 50001 certification covering 91.4% of its workforce and by increasing renewable electricity use to 93.9%. Suppliers representing more than half of its purchased goods emissions now have their own science-based targets.

Dassault Systèmes shows how rigorous, science-based roadmaps can translate long-term climate commitments into measurable emissions reductions rather than remaining aspirational goals.
