Major League Baseball (MLB) announced its 2025 season sustainability award winners on Earth Month, recognizing clubs across five categories, including waste diversion, energy reduction, water conservation and operational innovation. The MLB sustainability awards went to the Minnesota Twins for the highest overall waste diversion, the Chicago White Sox for the largest energy reduction and the Washington Nationals for the largest drop in water consumption.

The San Diego Padres received the new Diamond Diversion Award for their year-over-year improvement in daily waste management, while the Atlanta Braves were awarded the Eco-Slugger Innovation Award. The award recognizes the diversion of over 1,100 pounds of thin plastic film from landfill disposal and its conversion into a community bench at Truist Park.
