Auto Circular Economy Facilities

Stellantis Opened Its First MEA Vehicle Dismantling Center

Stellantis opened its first vehicle dismantling center in the Middle East and Africa region in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the company’s third automotive circular-economy recycling facility worldwide, following sites in Turin and São Paulo. The 6,000-square-meter site processes up to 10,000 vehicles annually, sourcing end-of-life cars from insurance companies, auctions and ELV channels to recover reusable original parts and recyclable materials.

The center operates under Stellantis’ SUSTAINera unit and supplies the brand’s aftersales network with recovered parts at more affordable prices. At full capacity, the facility is expected to support around 150 direct and indirect jobs.

As automakers work to extend vehicle lifecycles across emerging markets, Stellantis shows how regional dismantling and recycling infrastructure can reduce waste while making replacement parts more affordable.
