51Talk's GreenTalk: Speak for Future Platforms Youth Voices

The online English education service 51Talk facilitated a youth advocacy initiative connected to the United Nations COP30 climate conference. A select group of its students from several Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian nations was tasked with delivering speeches at the international event.
The program is titled GreenTalk: Speak for Future, and it integrates language learning with global citizenship by preparing young learners to articulate their views on environmental issues in English before a worldwide audience. As part of the program, participating children also engaged in ecological and cultural activities in the COP30 host country, Brazil.
Through this youth advocacy initiative, 51Talk emphasizes a pedagogical philosophy that positions language acquisition as a tool for empowerment and cross-cultural engagement.
