Farmer-Led Sustainable Advocacy Campaigns
UPL Launched the #AFarmerCan Campaign
Kalin Ned — November 10, 2025UPL, a global enterprise specializing in agricultural products, has initiated a worldwide advocacy campaign titled '#AFarmerCan' in anticipation of the upcoming United Nations climate conference. The initiative's objective is to highlight the contributions of farmers in addressing climate change and to lobby for their inclusion as a central element in international environmental policy.
UPL's '#AFarmerCan' campaign presents a collection of twenty case studies from agricultural producers across the globe. These examples illustrate practices that align with five key environmental areas — "greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation, energy security, water conservation, soil health regeneration, and biodiversity protection." Accompanying these narratives is a proposed four-part policy framework focused on providing financial incentives, risk protection, market access, and technological support for farmers.
UPL's strategy for the '#AFarmerCan' campaign involves a mix of physical advertising in the host city of the climate summit and digital outreach, complemented by event sponsorships that feature tangible examples of low-emission agricultural products.
