Etijah Receives Recognition for its Efforts in Hospitality
Debra John — November 22, 2025The efforts in hospitality led by the Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah have been formally recognized with the title of World’s Leading Sustainable Education & Training Programme 2025 for its Hospitality Employability Program at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA). Announced in Dubai before global leaders in sustainable tourism, the award highlights Etijah’s role in advancing environmentally responsible practices across the hospitality sector.
Founded in Cairo in 2006, Etijah is a prominent non-profit organization focused on youth empowerment and social inclusion. Its training model integrates sustainability principles—including resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally conscious service delivery—into all program components. By equipping young people with skills aligned with the demands of eco-friendly hospitality operations, the initiative supports the transition to greener tourism infrastructure.
Through this work, Etijah contributes to long-term environmental stewardship while expanding employment opportunities, ensuring that the next generation of hospitality professionals is prepared to support a more sustainable tourism landscape.
