1 Hotels has announced plans for 1 Hotel Cabo, a beachfront development in Los Cabos designed with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. The project reflects the brand’s commitment to reducing the ecological footprint of luxury hospitality while integrating development with sensitive coastal and desert ecosystems. Scheduled to begin construction following the conceptual design phase, the hotel is expected to open in late 2028 or early 2029.
The resort’s design will prioritize renewable and responsibly sourced materials, energy-efficient systems, and biophilic architecture that supports natural ventilation and daylight use. These features aim to reduce energy consumption, lower emissions, and minimize disruption to surrounding landscapes. Water conservation measures and environmentally responsible construction practices are also expected to play a central role.
Developed in partnership with Grupo Questro and Grupo MRP, the project seeks to support long-term environmental resilience, protect natural resources, and promote sustainable tourism development along the Los Cabos coastline.
