Air Capture Credit Deals

Deep Sky and ENGIE Partnered on Its Direct Air Capture Carbon Credits

References: newswire

Deep Sky and ENGIE signed a strategic partnership to procure up to 15,000 direct air capture carbon credits from Deep Sky's Canadian facilities, along with joint research on how DAC systems can better integrate with dynamic energy loads. The direct air capture carbon credits agreement supports ENGIE's net-zero 2045 target and helps Deep Sky build commercial demand for its technology-agnostic capture platform.

The research component focuses on improving power integration efficiency to reduce the cost of operating DACs at scale. Deep Sky's existing buyer network includes Microsoft, Royal Bank of Canada, and Google through the Frontier Climate program.

Deep Sky and ENGIE demonstrate how combining credit offtake with applied energy research can strengthen both the buyer's climate commitments and the technology infrastructure that the whole market depends on.
