HYCO1 Converts CO₂ Emissions into Industrial Products
Kalin Ned — February 16, 2026HYCO1, a technology company specializing in carbon dioxide utilization, announced a joint collaboration agreement with Petroleum Sarawak Berhad and PJ Energy Services to explore the commercial application of its patented technology for converting CO₂ emissions into valuable industrial products within the Malaysian state of Sarawak. The partnership aims to assess the feasibility of using HYCO1's process, which combines captured carbon dioxide with natural gas to produce chemical-grade synthesis gas — a fundamental building block for various downstream chemicals and fuels.
HYCO1's approach to CO₂ emissions promises to reduce natural gas consumption by approximately half for equivalent output volumes while generating low-carbon syngas, thereby extending natural gas reserves and lowering production costs.
The collaboration aligns with Sarawak's broader decarbonization goals and gas development roadmap, with PJ Energy Services contributing local operational expertise to support the evaluation of potential projects focused on creating low-carbon production hubs and attracting sustainable industrial investment to the region.
