Parallel Carbon Brings Together DAC and Water Electrolysis
Kalin Ned — November 13, 2025References: parallelcarbon
Parallel Carbon is developing an integrated technological system that pairs two distinct processes — direct air capture (DAC) for carbon dioxide removal and water electrolysis for the generation of clean hydrogen. The company's operational model is designed to be powered by renewable solar and wind energy, with a stated objective of significantly reducing the costs associated with both outputs. Thus, its philosophy combines geochemical and electrochemical methods, while emphasizing values of international collaboration and ambition in its approach to addressing climate change.
Through its proprietary hybrid technology, Parallel Carbon aims to achieve carbon capture for less than $100 per ton and hydrogen production for $1 per kilogram by the year 2030. The long-term vision extends to scaling its removal capacity to multiple gigatons of CO₂ annually by 2040.
