Helix Carbon Spotlights Its Electrochemical Reformer
Kalin Ned — November 13, 2025References: helixcarbon.co
Helix Carbon has engineered an electrochemical system designed to process waste gases from heavy industrial operations and convert them into synthetic gas blends that serve as foundational feedstocks for manufacturing processes. This technology, which is referred to as an electrochemical reformer, functions as an alternative to conventional reformers but utilizes carbon-containing waste streams instead of fossil fuels as its primary input.
Helix Carbon highlights that its technology can function with intermittent renewable electricity. The system's modular design, on the other hand, is intended for on-site installation at existing facilities with minimal need for extensive retrofitting. Additionally, the technology's output is formulated to be chemically consistent with the syngas currently used in sectors such as steel production and chemical manufacturing.
