Recyclable Cheese Packaging

Amcor has launched its 'AmPrima Plus' recycle-ready flow wrap for chunk cheese after partnering with Canadian dairy cooperative Agropur to update packaging for its Grand Cheddar line.

The new design replaces a traditional paperboard carton and standard film wrap with a fully flexible AmPrima Plus package. The shift cuts packaging weight by 82%, helping reduce material use and transportation-related emissions. For cheese processors, the product offers a way to meet growing retailer demands and regulatory requirements around recyclability in North America without sacrificing shelf life or operational efficiency.
