Dental Aligner Recycling Programs

Angelalign Technology Inc. is working with global recycling giant TerraCycle to launch the Angel Aligner Recycling Program, a new initiative that allows orthodontic and dental practices to responsibly dispose of used clear aligners, which are prohibited from curbside recycling streams. Businesses can order a Zero Waste Box from Angel Aligner and fill it with used aligners, which are then recycled through TerraCycle and transformed into new products. This prevents the aligners from being sent to landfills or incinerated.

“As clear aligner treatment continues to grow across Australia and New Zealand, so does our responsibility to address its environmental footprint. We believe sustainability should be built into modern orthodontics, not treated as an afterthought,” APAC general manager Colin Matheson said.
