Plastic Energy Unveils a Eco-Friendly Alternative to Carbon Black

Plastic Energy Ltd. has officially commercialized what it calls 'char,' a byproduct of its TAC chemical recycling technology, as an alternative to carbon black. Carbon black, a material often used in rubber manufacturing, is known for its durability but comes at a significant environmental cost. As this industry faces pressure to adopt sustainable practices, Plastic Energy is providing TACFILLER as a reliable product to consider during this period. TACFILLER features a composition of post-consumer plastic waste and is the first of its kind to achieve REACH registration.

Plastic Energy’s proprietary TAC chemical recycling process is at the core of this initiative, serving as the foundation for a more sustainable approach to plastic waste. The technology converts hard-to-recycle post-consumer plastics into TACOIL. This recycled feedstock performs on par with fossil-based oils but offers a more ethical and environmentally friendly alternative.
