The National Wildlife Federation, in partnership with Reolink, has launched the “Color Me Wild!” campaign to highlight the ecological significance of wildlife coloration and its role in supporting biodiversity. Across ecosystems, animals rely on color for survival functions such as camouflage, temperature regulation, communication, and reproduction, all of which are closely tied to environmental health.

Debuting during National Wildlife Week (April 6–12), the campaign emphasizes the importance of protecting natural habitats that sustain these species. Through educational digital content, the initiative raises awareness of how habitat loss, climate change, and pollution threaten wildlife populations and disrupt ecological balance.

The campaign encourages individuals to take conservation-focused actions, including supporting habitat preservation and biodiversity protection efforts. By fostering greater public understanding of ecosystem interdependence, the initiative aims to promote long-term environmental stewardship and reinforce the importance of safeguarding wildlife and their habitats across the United States.
