Earth-Conscious Dishwashing Tablets

Finish has introduced paper-based packaging across its core dishwashing tablet range, marking a shift away from plastic. The development required engineers to create a moisture-resistant barrier capable of preserving the tablets’ chemical integrity, while ensuring the materials remained compatible with standard paper recycling systems. The transition is expected to eliminate approximately 48 tonnes of plastic from the brand’s operations. The new packaging will be rolled out across select products in supermarkets across Australia.

"We anticipate that half of all Finish tablet packs sold will now feature our paper-based packaging. This will make it easier for Australians to make more sustainable choices as part of their everyday routines,” said Laurie Ferland-Caouette, the Head of Sustainability at Reckitt Australia.
