Floating Water Cover Systems

GES launched EnviroBalls™ as a modular floating water cover system designed to enhance environmental sustainability across municipal, industrial, reservoir, and aviation water applications.

The system uses UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene spheres to form a floating barrier that significantly reduces water evaporation—by up to 80 percent under certain conditions—supporting water conservation efforts in drought-prone regions. By limiting ultraviolet light penetration, EnviroBalls™ also help control algae growth, improving overall water quality without chemical intervention.

Additionally, the system contributes to environmental protection by suppressing harmful emissions such as odors and chemical vapors from industrial water bodies. Its ability to deter wildlife from contaminated or hazardous water surfaces further supports ecosystem safety. Requiring no permanent infrastructure, EnviroBalls™ enable low-impact, scalable deployment, aligning water management practices with broader sustainability and resource efficiency goals.
