Sustainable Carbon-Neutral Sakes

Fujuku Debuts the Organic Junmai Daiginjo Yamada-Nishik

To mark Earth Day, Fukuju launched Fukuju Organic Junmai Daiginjo Yamada-Nishiki, positioning the release at the intersection of premium quality and sustainability. Produced using renewable energy and city gas to achieve carbon neutrality, the sake also stands out for its use of organically cultivated rice.

To support its high-end positioning, Fukuju sources organic Yamada-Nishiki rice, a benchmark varietal for Junmai Daiginjo, where raw material quality is critical. The rice is certified under the Japanese Agricultural Standards and sourced from Hyogo Prefecture, its primary growing region.

“This sake is more than simply an organic product; it represents our vision of sustainable luxury,” explains Takenosuke Yasufuku, president of Kobe Shushinkan, Fukuju’s producer. “By bringing together environmental responsibility and uncompromising quality, we aim to offer a new standard of value to high-end markets worldwide.”
