Sri Lankan Sustainability Spaces
Hutch Sri Lanka Launched its Signature and Signature+ Outlets
Colin Smith — April 9, 2026Hutch Sri Lanka has introduced the country’s first sustainability centric retail spaces through the launch of its Signature and Signature Plus outlets. These locations are designed with sustainability as a core principle and incorporate environmentally responsible materials, renewable wind and solar energy, and circular economy practices. The outlets also include e waste collection points that encourage customers to dispose of used communication devices responsibly. In addition to serving as customer service centers, the spaces function as educational environments where visitors can learn about sustainability through curated displays and informational content.
The initiative aligns with the sustainability commitments of Hutch’s parent company, CK Hutchison Holdings, and supports Sri Lanka’s broader environmental goals. By integrating sustainable design and operations into its retail expansion strategy, Hutch aims to demonstrate long term value creation and responsible growth within the telecommunications sector. The company positions these outlets as a model for future retail development in the country, highlighting how sustainability can be embedded into customer engagement, infrastructure planning, and service delivery.
