The International Energy Agency is Hosting Con in Montreal

The 11th Annual IEA Global Conference on Energy Efficiency will convene international policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil-society representatives to discuss strategies for accelerating energy-efficiency deployment across buildings, transport, industry, and power systems. The programme is expected to highlight policy frameworks, financing mechanisms, technology roadmaps, and best-practice case studies that can scale efficiency gains while supporting climate and energy‑security objectives.
Organisers plan to use the conference as a platform to showcase innovation in measurement, verification, and regulatory approaches that enable more ambitious national and subnational targets, and to promote collaboration between public and private stakeholders for project implementation and capacity building. Sessions will likely address integration of efficiency with electrification and renewable deployment, emerging digital and demand‑side management tools, and pathways for mobilising investment in retrofit and new‑build efficiency solutions.
