Killeavy Castle Estate will Host a Sustainable Tourism Event
Debra John — October 10, 2025The Inspiring Sustainable Tourism Conference 2026 will take place at the picturesque Killeavy Castle Estate in County Armagh on Thursday, 22 January 2026, under the theme 'Climate Action, Community, and Collaboration.'
Now in its seventh year—and hosted for the first time in Northern Ireland—the event will unfold within one of the region’s most eco-conscious venues, surrounded by sustainably managed woodlands and farmland that embody the principles of regenerative tourism. Supported by the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, the conference aims to highlight how nature-based destinations can inspire meaningful climate action and responsible business practices.
Organized by the Sustainable Tourism Network and its sister company, the Sustainable Business Network, the event will bring together sustainability leaders, innovators, and policymakers. Among the featured speakers is Seán McCabe, Head of Climate Justice and Sustainability at Bohemian Football Club, whose pioneering community-led climate initiatives reflect the conference’s mission to harmonize environmental stewardship with social impact.
