Ming Yang Smart Energy has announced the launch of what it describes as the world’s first wind turbine blade made entirely from recyclable carbon fiber.

Dubbed the MySE23X, the blade stretches more than 110 meters in length and has been engineered with end-of-life recycling in mind, addressing one of the wind industry’s most persistent challenges. As turbines grow larger and more powerful, disposing of composite blades has become increasingly difficult, since traditional materials are notoriously hard to recycle. The new blade can be chemically broken down using a proprietary degradation process that operates at normal temperature and pressure, allowing the composite components to be separated and recovered efficiently.

Constructed from recyclable carbon fiber pultruded panels, the blade combines high strength with reduced weight, enabling the carbon fiber material to be reclaimed and reused in future applications.
