PET Bottle Cap Partnerships

Origin Materials has partnered with Matrix Bottling Group to bring recyclable PET caps to mass production for beverage applications. Through this partnership, Matrix Bottling will provide bottling and capping services for Origin’s PET caps, initially in 28mm formats, with plans to expand to additional sizes in the future.

Unlike traditional polypropylene or HDPE caps, these PET caps can be produced entirely from post-consumer recycled material and are suitable for food-grade applications. Manufactured through a thermoforming process rather than conventional injection or compression molding, the caps offer an environmentally responsible alternative for beverage packaging.
