Clean PET Bottlecap Partnerships

Origin Materials and Berlin Packaging announced a strategic customer relationship in which Berlin Packaging will source Origin Materials’ sustainable PET for use in bottlecaps and related packaging components. The agreement positions Berlin Packaging to offer customers an alternative to conventional fossil feedstock based PET by incorporating Origin’s wood based carbon feedstock derived polymer into its product portfolio. The collaboration is presented as a commercial pathway to introduce lower carbon intensity materials into beverage and consumer goods packaging supply chains.

The partnership is framed around scaling supply and enabling customer access to more sustainable packaging options while maintaining compatibility with existing manufacturing and recycling streams. Both parties describe the relationship as supporting broader industry objectives for decarbonisation and circularity, with implementation focused on commercialisation and market adoption rather than research alone. Specific commercial terms and volume commitments were not disclosed in the announcement.
