Osmose Utilities Services has launched a new composite restoration system to rehabilitate aging underground utility vaults and manholes without excavation, outages or full structure replacement. Developed in partnership with CFI Composites, the system enables utilities to restore deteriorated structures in two to five days, with electrical equipment often remaining energized throughout installation.

The fire-resistant, VOC-free material carries a 50-year warranty against cracking and spalling, providing electric utilities with a capitalizable alternative to repeated repairs or costly asset replacement. Osmose serves as the exclusive certified installer across the U.S. and Canada, excluding California, overseeing assessment, engineering integration and quality assurance throughout deployment.

As aging electric grid infrastructure faces mounting pressure from rising demand, Osmose shows how advances in composite materials are helping utilities extend the life of critical underground infrastructure.
