Nature-Focused Wedding Celebrations

Quindío is unveiling a new wedding initiative that champions environmental preservation. Surfacing from a partnership between the International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals (IADWP) and the Quindío Convention Bureau, this new project aims to enhance the destination wedding experience for eco-conscious consumers.

“Quindío offers a rare combination of landscape, culture, and intention,” says Mel George, IADWP’s Indiana Chapter Head and Destination Wedding Specialist. “We’re seeing increased demand from couples who want more than a glamorous wedding—they want connection, purpose, and an experience that aligns with their values.”

The program incorporates experiences form boutique hotels, eco-friendly resorts, and regional artisans. Notably, this effort aims to promote Colombia as an optimal destination for global romance tourism and immersive cultural experiences.
