In celebration of National Recycling Day, Miami-Dade County has unveiled “Recycle-pedia,” an innovative online resource designed to make recycling more straightforward and more accessible for residents. The interactive platform allows users to input their location anywhere within the county and instantly access clear guidance on proper waste disposal.

With Recycle-pedia, residents can quickly determine which items belong in their curbside recycling bins, which materials require delivery to designated drop-off sites, and which should be sent to the landfill. By providing location-specific information, the tool aims to reduce confusion, minimize contamination in recycling streams, and encourage environmentally responsible habits throughout the community.

Miami-Dade officials emphasize that Recycle-pedia is part of a broader initiative to promote sustainable practices and support residents in making informed, eco-friendly decisions with ease. The solution comes at a time when Miami-Dade County ranks among the lowest in recycling rates.
