Winter Travel Programs

Park City Municipal has relaunched its 'Ride On Winter Rewards Program,' a four-month initiative designed to reduce emissions by encouraging residents, visitors, and employees to choose low-impact travel options. The program promotes walking, biking, public transit, carpooling, vanpooling, and the use of park-and-ride facilities as alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle trips, helping decrease traffic congestion and support cleaner air during the winter season.

Participants log their trips and earn points based on the environmental efficiency of each travel mode, with more sustainable choices receiving higher rewards. This incentive structure aims to reinforce long-term habits that reduce carbon output and reliance on personal vehicles. At the end of the program, the top ten participants earn cash prizes of up to $450, while individuals who record trips on three separate days each month qualify for raffles offering Mountainkind e-gift cards and eco-focused promotional items.
