The Swedish Textile Service Association will Host a Stockholm Meeting
Debra John — March 24, 2026Circularity was identified as a central theme of the upcoming Stockholm meeting hosted by the Swedish Textile Service Association, with a program focused on advancing sustainable practices within the textile sector. The event was set to convene industry experts and stakeholders engaged in textile recycling and material innovation, facilitating knowledge exchange on emerging circular solutions.
In particular, Pontus Håstlund of Circulose was scheduled to present on the utilization of cotton-rich textile waste in the development of alternative raw materials, highlighting processes that support resource recovery and reduce reliance on virgin inputs. Complementing this perspective, Andreas Dorner of RE&UP Recycling Technologies was expected to address the development of scalable textile-to-textile recycling systems, with an emphasis on operational challenges and opportunities.
Furthermore, the discussion was anticipated to consider the evolving European Union regulatory landscape, examining how policy frameworks influence the implementation and expansion of circular supply chains across the textile industry.
