Aluminum Wine Packaging Debuts

Vinca is expanding into M&S Food stores across the UK with its organic red and white wines packaged in 100% recycled aluminium bottles. The launch marks a continued push in sustainable wine packaging innovation, with the lightweight bottles offering a lower-carbon alternative to traditional glass.

Produced using significantly less CO₂ and weighing far less than standard wine bottles, the aluminium format improves transport efficiency while maintaining wine freshness through a wine-grade interior lining. The range includes Sicilian-grown organic varietals, including a Syrah and Nero d’Avola blend and a Catarratto white, sourced from family-owned vineyards.

Vinca’s aluminium bottles are an innovative step forward, combining strong sustainability credentials with wines that deliver on flavour and quality. We’re delighted to be introducing them to our stores," said Harriet Coates, wine buyer at Marks & Spencer.

The new bottles launch May 6 at M&S Food.
