Tons of secondhand fashion has the potential to live a brand-new life after the time-consuming tasks of grading, sorting, cleaning, styling, photographing and listing it online, and VYNX makes fashion resale profitable with robotics and AI. "Every three seconds, a truckload of textiles is dumped or incinerated worldwide. We have found a solution for that," said founders Vincent van der Holst and Romy Goedhart. VYNX promises to turn what is normally a lengthy, multi-step process into an integrated flow that can be completed in less than a minute. What's more, VYNX AI can detect fakes and fraudulent returns, and items that are identified as not fit for resale can go to recycling.

Two patents were recently filed, one for the hanging system and another for the entire assembly line process integrating physical AI. The next version, VYNX3000, is nearly complete and set to be delivered in 2027.
