The company strives to overcome the historical limitation of organic flow batteries — the gradual decomposition of their active molecules, in particular — through innovative methods that can periodically regenerate the electrolyte, thereby potentially extending the system's operational life.

Further practical advantages of Quino Energy's alternative electrical storage tech include an inherent non-flammability, due to a water-based chemistry, and the elimination of the need for costly inert gases to protect the system from air exposure.
