Fluence Partnered with Torch Clean Energy on "Gridstack Pro 5000"

Fluence and Torch Clean Energy are partnering to deploy the Gridstack Pro 5000 energy storage solution at the Winchester solar‑plus‑storage project in Cochise County, Arizona, comprising two identical systems that together will provide 160 MW / 640 MWh of battery energy storage capacity with delivery expected in early 2027. The systems will operate alongside two 80 MW solar arrays to support grid balancing, peak‑demand services, and forecasted regional load growth, and project organisers state the facility is expected to contribute to local economic activity and infrastructure investment for Cochise County.

The Gridstack Pro 5000 configuration for the Winchester project incorporates domestically manufactured enclosures, inverters, and thermal management components to enable eligibility for domestic content tax credits and to support U.S. manufacturing objectives and energy security goals, according to the project announcement. Fluence cited its broad U.S. deployment footprint of more than 22 GWh across over 90 projects as background for the collaboration, and Torch characterised the system as enabling cost‑effective dispatch of solar generation when grid needs arise.
