SLR Has Acquired Anchor Environmental to Expand Advisory Services

SLR acquired Anchor Environmental Consultants, a Cape Town-based marine and natural capital advisory firm with more than 45 specialists and an additional office in Windhoek, Namibia. The acquisition strengthens SLR's ability to support clients navigating complex coastal, offshore and biodiversity-related sustainability challenges across Africa and beyond.
Founded in the 1990s, Anchor built its reputation advising governments, NGOs, development agencies, and energy and mining companies on ecological and economic assessments, ecosystem services and natural capital accounting. The firm also operates a marine taxonomy laboratory in Cape Town and maintains extensive field-sampling capabilities, including certified scientific divers and inshore and offshore survey teams.
SLR shows how expanding expertise in marine environments, biodiversity and natural capital is becoming increasingly important as sustainability challenges grow more complex.
