CleanPeak Energy is Acquiring SEI to Bolster its Services
Colin Smith — April 16, 2026CleanPeak Energy Holdings has agreed to acquire Sustainable Energy Infrastructure (SEI), an Adelaide based developer of solar and battery assets. According to reporting, Sustainable Energy Infrastructure is backed by Australian superannuation funds and focuses on sub 5 MW projects developed in partnership with the YES Group. Its portfolio includes 14 completed solar farms across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria, along with eight battery energy storage systems. CleanPeak’s existing portfolio includes more than 40 MW of rooftop solar, 100 MW of utility scale solar and 35 MWh of battery projects, with additional solar and storage capacity under development.
The acquisition follows CleanPeak’s recent expansion activities, including the purchase of five New South Wales solar farm developments in early 2026 and a significant investment commitment from global firm KKR in 2025. CleanPeak expects the newly acquired assets to support its distributed energy platform and contribute to future operational capacity. The company has indicated that its pipeline includes 100 MW of solar and 300 MWh of battery projects, positioning the acquisition as part of a broader growth strategy within Australia’s renewable energy sector.
