Scalable Energy Storage Partnerships
Envision Energy Partnered with GES to Scale Clean Energy
Colin Smith — November 25, 2025Envision Energy and GES formed a strategic partnership to scale utility‑scale battery energy storage systems and onshore wind projects across Spain and Europe, combining Envision’s wind and storage technologies with GES’s regional development and delivery capabilities. The collaboration targets co‑location of storage with wind assets and standalone BESS deployments to improve grid flexibility, capacity firming, and project timelines.
Operationally, the partners will align engineering, systems integration, permitting, and asset‑management practices to reduce project risk and enhance bankability for investors. They plan joint engagement with utilities and offtakers and to deploy advanced control software to optimize dispatch and capture multiple revenue streams, including capacity, energy arbitrage, and ancillary services. The combined approach is designed to address permitting complexity, optimize asset dispatch through advanced control software, and capture multiple revenue streams, namely capacity, energy arbitrage, and ancillary services, thereby improving project economics and accelerating deployment timelines.
