SUNOTEC and Sungrow are Deploying 2.4Gwh of Energy Storage
Colin Smith — November 4, 2025SUNOTEC and Sungrow have signed an agreement for the supply and deployment of 2.4 GWh of battery energy storage capacity to support projects across Southeast Europe. The agreement positions Sungrow as the primary equipment and systems supplier while SUNOTEC assumes local deployment, project development, and commercial rollout responsibilities. The package is described as targeting utility‑scale and commercial‑industrial applications that require large‑volume energy shifting and grid services.
The partners frame the collaboration as intended to accelerate renewable integration and strengthen grid flexibility in the region by providing capacity for peak shaving, frequency regulation, and backup power. Contract elements highlighted by the announcement include coordinated project planning, system commissioning, and lifecycle support to ensure operational performance and to meet regional regulatory and interconnection requirements.
