The ROSEN Group and Stadtwerke Lingen have initiated the construction of a 2-megawatt photovoltaic system at the ROSEN site in Lingen (Ems), marking a joint investment of approximately €2 million in solar infrastructure. Following a feasibility and structural study completed in 2024, the project launched in early 2025, with delivery of 4,500 high-performance solar modules covering roughly 9,000 m² of rooftop area. Installation is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, with final commissioning planned for the first quarter of 2026.

An intelligent energy-management system will optimize on-site consumption, enabling the ROSEN Group to utilize 98.7 percent of the generated electricity for internal operations. Annual CO₂ emissions are projected to decrease by over 750 tons—equivalent to the average yearly output of more than 75 households—thereby enhancing energy independence and reducing operating costs. The collaboration also engages regional partners, including E.M.S. Sun Control GmbH, Vrielmann GmbH, and Garten- und Landschaftsbau Lüske, underscoring the project’s role in local value creation and sustainable industrial development.
