Large-Scale Clean Energy Programs
Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation Opened EOI for Energy Projects
Colin Smith — March 11, 2026Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation has opened an expressions of interest process for industrial buyers seeking access to large scale clean power, developed in partnership with ACEN Corporation. According to the announcement, the initiative is part of a broader plan to advance renewable energy projects on Yindjibarndi Country in Western Australia. The EOI process is intended to identify commercial and industrial customers with long term electricity demand that can be matched with new solar and wind capacity. The partners noted that the program supports efforts to create an Indigenous owned renewable energy platform capable of supplying competitively priced clean power to major energy users.
The initiative builds on earlier agreements between Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation and ACEN to develop gigawatt scale renewable energy assets across the region. The EOI process is expected to inform project sequencing, offtake structures, and investment planning for future developments. The partners stated that the approach aims to align industrial decarbonisation needs with regional economic participation by ensuring that Traditional Owners have a direct role in project ownership and benefit sharing. The announcement reflects increasing interest in large scale renewable energy procurement as companies seek to meet emissions reduction commitments while securing long term power supply.
