Cheer Pack N.A. Unites with Amcor to Launch Mono-Material Packaging

Cheer Pack N.A., a known manufacturer of spouted flexible pouches and caps, announced a partnership with Amcor that will see Cheer Pack N.A. develop and launch what is recognized as the first fully commercial PE Recycle-Ready spouted pouch in North America. The launch comes as government regulations surrounding packaging become more stringent across many countries.
"As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs expand in states such as Oregon and Colorado and California SB-54 accelerates packaging reform nationwide, brand owners face increased scrutiny around material selection and reporting requirements," explained Al Madonna, vice president of marketing.
The collaboration addressed technical challenges in narrow pouching and spout-sealing processes using a mono-material PE laminate, culminating in the CheerCircle Recycle-Ready solution.
Additionally, Cheer Pack N.A. has introduced a suite of spouted pouch and cap solutions designed to support extended producer responsibility (EPR) compliance, source reduction, and integration of post-consumer recycled (PCR) and PE recycle-ready content.
