Viridi and Oak Ridge National Laboratory Advance Grid Storage Research

Through a partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Viridi has deployed its fail-safe battery energy storage system at the laboratory's Grid Research Innovation and Development Center to support testing of next-generation grid control technologies under real-world conditions. The project enables researchers to assess how battery storage interacts with utility infrastructure, distributed energy resources, and advanced management systems before broader deployment. Viridi's battery also incorporates anti-propagation technology designed to reduce fire risks while supporting reliable operation.
