Low-GWP Laboratory Centrifuges

Haier Biomedical and Resonant Replace F-Gas Refrigerants

Haier Biomedical and Resonant Clinical Solutions have developed low-GWP laboratory centrifuges that reduce reliance on fluorinated greenhouse gas refrigerants. The LX-60T100R refrigerated centrifuge uses natural hydrocarbon R290, lowering refrigerant global warming potential from more than 1,400 in legacy F-gas systems to approximately three.

Designed for clinical trial workflows, the centrifuge pre-cools to 4°C in approximately five minutes and includes RFID rotor recognition, vibration monitoring and storage for more than 1,000 programs. Its compact design also allows installation on a standard laboratory bench. The system arrives more than two years ahead of key upcoming F-gas regulatory deadlines in Europe and the U.S.

For pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations, the equipment provides an early pathway toward regulatory compliance while maintaining laboratory performance. Resonant's exclusive clinical-trials distribution agreement through November 2027 also creates a differentiated offering across its global equipment portfolio.
