Customer Collaboration Innovation Centers

Nouryon opened a new innovation center in Shanghai to support local product development and strengthen collaboration with customers and partners in the Asia‑Pacific region, positioning the facility as a regional hub for application development, technical service, and co‑innovation activities. The center is intended to accelerate local adaptation of Nouryon’s specialty chemical solutions across markets such as paints and coatings, personal care, and industrial applications by providing laboratory resources, pilot‑scale capabilities, and direct access to Nouryon technical teams for formulation testing and problem solving.

The Shanghai site complements Nouryon’s global innovation network by enabling faster response times to customer needs in Greater China and neighboring markets, and by supporting joint development projects that aim to reduce time‑to‑market for customized formulations and process adaptations. Nouryon frames the investment as part of a broader strategy to expand regional development capacity and to deepen customer engagement through on‑site expertise, demonstrator capabilities, and collaborative development workflows.
